The Brazilian butt lift (BBL) technique uses fat transfer (fat grafting) to naturally augment the derriere. It has the added benefit of liposuction to harvest fat cells for transfer, creating a slimmer look at the waist, love handles, back, etc. Fat cells harvested from the lower back can enhance the curvature of the buttocks. The fat is purified and then injected in layers to sculpt the buttocks and add fullness.

BUTT IMPLANTS

For those who do not have enough excess fat to harvest, Dr. Tseng’s butt augmentation in Kirkland can be performed with soft, silicone implants. The incision is in the natural crease so that any scar is well hidden. Your surgeon will create a pocket above the pelvic bone and below the gluteal muscle, where the implant is placed. For a few weeks after surgery, you will need to wear a compression garment.

It is vital that as little pressure as possible is placed on your buttocks, allowing the transferred fat cells to become established in the new location. You will need to avoid sitting or putting pressure on the buttocks for eight weeks and will need a special cushion during this healing phase. You will be restricted from vigorous physical activities for about eight weeks.
